2025 marked our first full year of coordinated charity activity as a group, bringing colleagues together across the business to support causes that matter, including Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), local schools, foodbanks and community initiatives. Through fundraising, sponsorships and donation drives, we focused on making a tangible difference while strengthening connections across our teams and partners.
Throughout 2025, colleagues across Horizon Group took part in a range of fundraising activities, with GOSH at the heart of our efforts. These events not only raised vital funds but brought people together through teamwork, shared challenge and plenty of energy along the way.
In August, seven Horizon Group colleagues took to the pitch at the Business Fives Charity Football Match. While the team didn’t top the league table, they certainly topped the fundraising leaderboard and raised the highest amount for charity across the event.
With Horizon Group covering entry fees and team shirts, the focus stayed firmly on fundraising, earning the team the fundraising trophy. Following such a strong result, we’ve already booked our next match for February 2026.
September saw 23 Horizon Group colleagues take on the Whitbread Nuclear Race, a 5km muddy obstacle course organised and led by Horizon in partnership with Whitbread and YPS.
From climbing obstacles to navigating mud-filled challenges, the event was a brilliant display of teamwork and determination and raised an incredible £40,000 for charity overall.
We closed out the year with our GOSH Christmas Charity Raffle, made possible by the generosity of our suppliers and clients. Over 40 prizes, with a combined value of £7,380 were donated, helping us raise £2,155 for GOSH.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed prizes, bought tickets and helped make a real difference at the end of the year.
Alongside fundraising, Horizon Group continued to support a range of causes through sponsorships, donations and colleague-led initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to local communities and meaningful partnerships.
From the fairway to the wider community, Horizon Group is proud to support semi-professional golfer Max Maynard for a second year, helping turn sponsorship into positive impact.
In 2025, Horizon Group supported several local initiatives, including:
From healthcare and education to food security and youth development, these initiatives addressed immediate needs while strengthening relationships with our clients, suppliers and communities.
Total raised for GOSH to date: £16,369 (over 13 months)
Total raised by the Charity Committee: £19,269
These figures represent more than donations, they reflect the time, energy and commitment of our people coming together to support causes that truly matter.
As we move into 2026, we’re ready to make an even bigger impact. With a clear charity strategy and an upcoming Group Charity Calendar, we aim to engage colleagues across the organisation, maximise support for key causes and deliver outcomes we can be genuinely proud of.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far, we’re excited to keep building on this journey together.
Keep an eye out for our 2026 fundraising journey.
